Chic-Beauty: Valentine's Makeup look

Happy Hump day,

Valentine's day is right around the corner and if you are heading out with your boo/bae, spouse, or side dude....(LOL LOL just kidding on the later), then you must give face.  Even though my husband and I  typically are not the ones to go out on Valentine's anymore, this would be a makeup look I would go for.  I am a little on the traditional side because reds and pinks would be the colors I would gravitate towards.

For the eyes, I decided to go with a soft pink lid.  Initially, I was going to add glitter, but I decided to keep it soft.

For the lips, I decided to go with an ombre look using a red liquid lipstick and a pink metallic liquid lipstick in the middle.  Honestly, these photos don't do the lips any justice because they were much more vibrant than it appears.

FACE: MUFE Ultra HD Foundation (forgot shade)
Clinique Beyond Perfecting +Concealer  Foundation -for highlighting (#9 Neutral)

EYES: Morphe 35O Palette and BH Essential Eyes Palette
Lashes - Salon Perfect (Glamorous)

It's Geometric

Happy Tuesday,

Well I don't want to brag just yet, but I have been on a roll with these weekly post.  I figured that I will not speak on doing better, I just need to do! Any who, lets jump right into this look. When I first saw this blouse on a YouTuber, I instantly knew that I wanted it.  Look at the colors and the print!! They are so fun and flirty, yet the make of the top is still conservative.  I paired it with this faux leather skirt to give it a more sexy, yet sophisticated look. The blouse is made of soft, thin material so it is appropriate for the Spring and Summer as well.  It can be paired with a pair of light wash skinny jeans or shorts.  You can also wear it as a dress, but I personally think it is too short for that, BUT to each is own!  I think this look would be appropriate for church as well as to the office.  What do you guys think? Would you wear this to the office and/or to church?

Vintage Sequins

Happy Tuesday,

Hope the start of your week has been good so far.  I am excited about today's post because I am featuring this FABULOUS sequin sweater.  I purchased this around the end of Summer on a trip to New Orleans at a vintage thrift store.  I am all about some sparkle honey and when I saw this baby, it was love at first sight.  According to the tag, it is an authentic 1970's disco sweater, which made me want it even more.  The colors are so fun and vibrate.  I paired it with these faux leather pants but it would look very nice with a leather skirt or a pair of jeans.  She is an absolute beauty, wouldn't you agree??? Hope you guys enjoy this look and have a blessed week!

Winter Please!

Happy Wednesday Loves,

I tell you I feel like I have been cheated of  the Winter season.  I know my Northern sisters will gladly hand over their Winter and I surely would take it.  This Southern weather is so bipolar...one minute it is 70-75 degrees and the next we are in the middle of an ice storm.  Some days I don't know whether to put on my boots or a pair a flip flops...lol..so serious though.  With that being said, I have not been able to really wear my two favorite Winter pieces, a leather jacket and calf/over-the-knee boots.  So, this particular day it was about 30 or below and I made sure I broke out both.  I didn't plan to wear this hat but it was lightly misting and these natural roots couldn't take that....lol.  Hope you guys enjoy the look!!!!  Have a blessed week!

Isn't this the cutest clutch!!  I have been carrying it since getting it as an early birthday gift.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year,

and guess what!!!! TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY (insert screams here)!  I am so thankful that I am here to see another birthday.  Last year brought about so much tragic and horrific events, that I honestly feared for me and my family.  I know that God does not give us a spirit of fear and my faith is strong, but I will be lying if I wasn't some what a little afraid.  But God is so magnificent and I give all thanks and praises to him for his abundant grace and mercy.

I missed you guys and I am so thankful you are sticking around.  During the later part of last year, things were busy and hectic.  While in the process of breaking ground on our new home, our old home sold leaving us to move into an apartment temporarily.  Therefore, most of our things were in storage.  So blogging had to take a bit of a backseat.  But please, if you don't already follow me on Instagram and snapchat at @chicneverything

So lets get into this look.  This is what I wore to a New Year's Eve party.  The party was held at some friends beautiful home, which was very intimate but so much fun.  If you follow me on snapchat, then you probably could figure what a great time I had (mama don't get out much....lol....but BABY when I do......lol).  During this time, you would mostly see the glitter, sequin, etc..Now don't get me wrong, I am all for the sequin and to shine bright light a diamond, but I wanted to keep it simple this year, yet glam.  So, this was my look.  Hope you guys enjoy and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
